Types of Mulch
Wood Chips
Excellent for suppressing weeds and preventing erosion. Wood chips also have the longest lifespan of all our mixtures! Works best around trees, bushes and footpaths. Avoid putting in gardens (vegetable or flower).
Leaves
Leaf mulch improves soil fertility and nutrients, thus reducing the need for fertilizer. It is also good for weed control because it prevents weeds from germinating. This mixture works best on turf, trees and bushes.
Compost
Our nutrient-rich mixture works best when applied to vegetable gardens, flower beds, trees and bushes.
Grass Clippings
Prevents weed growth and decomposes quickly. Works best on annual vegetable & flower gardens, perennial beds and lawns.
Pine Needles
Excellent for acid-loving garden vegetables such as: tomatoes, celery, cauliflower and carrots. Also works good for blueberry plants, perennial beds and acid-loving flowers such as: Azaleas, Rhododendrons & Camellias.
